In this series of concepts, we were asked to create a print ad that would appear in an issue of the Kansas City Business Journal featuring a list of the top web design firms in the area. My company had gotten a full-page ad opposite this list. The angle was to promote our web design department as having all the design capabilities of a creative agency while retaining the technical prowess of an IT firm.
The manager wanted to stress the idea of "one without the other," and also of the "right brain/left brain" dichotomy. We also wanted to submit several ideas that relied purely on shock, creativity, or subversiveness, as this was a one-time shot to capture reader attention.
