Who are you?
My name's Rahul and I write for a living. Or, at least, I try to.
What do you do?
This would probably be easier explained via my resume.
But, currently, I work as a freelance writer, primarily for design and advertising agencies.
Previously, I worked in two departments of a business technology company: the marketing department and interactive media group.
I was the marketing department's writer, working with the department's designer Ben Jones (who you will see credited on this site) on projects given to us by the executive team, marketing director, client development specialists, and others. Which is to say, everyone told us what to do, we tried to interpret what they actually needed, and gave it to them in new and engaging ways.
The same could be said of the interactive department. That group created websites, e-learning courses, and more for external clients, and I wrote for that group as well. Sort of. Truth be told, writing opportunities came less often in this department, so I was a catch-all. I wrote copy for websites and e-blasts, technical documents and manuals, sales sheets and collateral, ads and mailers. I did data entry, checked code for bugs, project managed, worked on usability testing and analysis, and myriad other assignments.
Shoot me a line if you're interested in what I do or wish to contract me for any work:

What else?
Please note that all the text on this site, including within the projects, was created by me. The concept and design of the projects, however, were either created in collaboration with or solely by a designer, usually Ben Jones. As a result, I use the collaborative "we" in most of these pages. I'd love to give credit where it is due, so if you're impressed by the design, please contact me and I will put you in touch with the designer.
